Windsor, The River Gardens c.1960

More about this scene
Here we have a view of Alexandra Gardens looking westwards. When the preceding photographs (25607 and 35371) were taken, the photographer would have been somewhere at the far end of the gardens. The plane tree with the shelter around it in the centre of the photograph was planted in 1902 to commemorate the coronation of Edward VII. The pond no longer exists.
