A Memory of Witley.

My father John Borthwick was Head Gardener Vincent was 2nd in charge.We lived in Sweetwater Lane.
I worked a Saturday job on Herman’s farm, and collected chicken eggs.Did a paper round from Witley Station
Living near us was Jimmy Bellini who was in charge of the stores.
My brother worked with my father before going away to Hoticultural College at Pershore.
We had a wonderful childhood,attended Witley primary school before moving on to Rodborough Secondary School,
Which before the new school was an ex Canadian camp.
Herman and his wife were very friendly with my parents.
My father left and we moved to Guernsey.To Castle Carey working for Dr Winch.
