Hudson.

A Memory of Witney.

My brother and I used to help my father on his market store in the 50s which was just by the corner cafe'. My brother has lived in The States for over 50 years and we were just reminiscing in emails about those times. In one photograph I can see the front end of my dad's car which was a converted American Ford Hudson, and in another photograph there is the back end of the large shooting brake, which he'd had converted from a saloon. We would be left serving customers when my dear old dad would go off in search of the nearest pub. He would stagger back and fall asleep on his cantaloupes, we would then steal change from the wooden till for our pocket money. Ah happy days! Stephen Brooks.
