More about this scene

Wootton Courtenay's stores, now a villagers' co-operative, lies opposite the one in this picture - at the end of the middle block on the left. Hidden behind is All Saints' Church with its churchyard cross and huge yew tree. Today this quiet village boasts a vineyard, a restaurant and a water-powered pottery.

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

My Nan and grandad lived in the house on the left hand side of the street where the grey car is parked outside. It was a great place to play when I was a child. I loved this place. It was beautifully old fashioned both inside and out. Lots of happy memories spent here. Rachael Mead
