Older residents of Yardley Gobion will remember when this village had four pubs and five shops. There were even two bakehouses and two blacksmiths at one time, but the village community has changed a great deal since those far-off days. Around the time this picture was taken, a number of post-medieval pottery kilns were found in the village.
