More about this scene

Although Yarmouth never really developed as a traditional seaside resort, there are stretches of sand available for bathing. Its accessibility to the mainland and its usefulness as a touring centre ensured that a number of fine hotels, such as the Bugle, were opened from Victorian times onwards.

A Selection of Memories from Yarmouth

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. Here are some from Yarmouth

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?
