Yeovil, Middle Street c.1955

More about this scene
This street, now pedestrianised, was a busy part of the A30 trunk road. It was widened a century ago to cope with the increasing traffic. We are looking down from the Triangle, and we can see the Freeman, Hardy & Willis shoe shop on the left, AJ Perham's Hair Cutting Rooms on the right, and the South Western Gas Board at the end of the street.
