More about this scene
Situated on Fulford Road, the barracks were originally built around 1795 for the 14th Regimental District and the West Yorkshire Regiment. In 1951, to commemorate exploits in India, the site became known as the Imphal Barracks. The large keep on view here is still in use. A 25-pounder gun and a Saladin armoured car are preserved on the site.
