More about this scene
We are looking down the main street of the charmingly-named hamlet of Appletreewick in Wharfedale, with the prominent 1,550ft fell of Simon's Seat in the background. Known as 'Ap'trick' to its residents, Appletreewick was once a centre for lead mining, but farming and tourism are the dual economies of today.
