Aylesbury, Walton Pond c.1950

More about this scene
Here, on the east side of Walton Road, is the village pond. Older houses nearby were destroyed or damaged by a Second World War landmine, Aylesbury's only wartime bomb, which fell close to the pond. Opposite is a good Georgian brick house with smaller cottages to its left.
