More about this scene
The school opened in 1896, and it was greatly enlarged twice to meet the demands for secondary education. It was designed as a single-storey building, and a further storey was built in 1901. It was a co-educational school until the Girls' County School was built further down Buttrills Road. When a new school was built at Port Road, the County School was closed and taken over by the Glamorgan Training College. On the closure of the college it was sold, and is now The Old College Inn.
