Belfast, Ormeau Park Lake 1897

More about this scene
This park was the first open space secured for public recreation in Belfast. There was an initial problem, in that the law in Ireland dealing with such things did not allow the necessary action, so this had to be attended to. That done, the Council knew what it wanted: it approached Lord Donegall to see if he would let them take over the house and park at Ormeau.
