More about this scene
Branscombe lies amid what a previous vicar described as 'a perfect jumble of hills'. The village is certainly one of Devon's prettiest, not least for its setting, strung in a series of hamlets around the junction of several pastoral and wooded combes. The parish church of St Winifred is thought to date from the Dark Ages.
