Can anyone please remember a private Hotel in Sands Lane called the Farslea Hotel? My Mum and Dad had that hotel. I would love to find out if it is called anything else now, or even if it was demolished.

From 1948 to the early fifties we used to have our weekly holiday in a bus on Marton Road. There were quite a few buses on the site, all situated at the top of the site, most of them were double deckers painted in green. We used to come here every year from me being around 6 month old and I stopped when I was 17. We also used to stay in Mr Josef Jamroz's holiday flats on Bridge St opp Marks and Spencers. The final year I went he wasn't there anymore, he'd sold up and we were told he'd gone back to Poland due to ill health. Often wonder what happened to him and where he went.
