More about this scene
Broseley was once the only sizeable town in what is now known as the Ironbridge Gorge area. It was an important industrial centre, and coal was mined and shipped from here down the River Severn. Bricks were also produced locally, and clay was used to make china, tiles and clay pipes. Today there is an excellent clay pipe museum in the town.
