More about this scene
The inscription on the front reads 'National and Infants School 1842'. The school was extended in 1886, and could then cater for 135 pupils from Butley and Capel St Andrew. The building is now a private house: the porch has been demolished and the canteen (right), with its gable removed, has been converted into a garage.
