The lady with the pram, near the clipped bushes (left), is outside the Post Office and Stores, which closed in 1975, although the post box remains. The tall block beyond has an industrial appearance, but in fact it consists of five cottages. The barns belonged to William 'Wiggie' Large, builder and wheelwright, who lived in the adjoining house.
