Caption for Caerphilly, Castle C1955: Here we see the castle after its restoration by the Marquis of Bute. The drum towers were also used for accommodation, while the Constable's apartments were situated in the east gatehouse. The wall partly off-picture to the right is a section of the fortified dam.
