Chatham, Buckmore Park Camp Activities c.1965

More about this scene
In the 1960s, camping was the most important of all scouting activities, and Scout and Cub groups - no Guides until the late 1960s - brought their own tents and other equipment to the open camp site amid the woodland. Here, some of the boys write their journals or letters home, while others go about the housekeeping chores.
