More about this scene
This view looks towards the inner ward. The King's apartments were on the first floor. Here was the Presence Chamber, where Councils would have been held. There was a smaller chamber for more private business, a chapel, and a lobby for guests to wait in before being received. The towers at the angle of the castle contained bedchambers for use by the King and Queen. On the ground floor were apartments for the King's officials.
