You could be forgiven for not recognising this building today. This is the original church facing Beanfield Avenue and Newark Drive. In 1965 it was gutted by a disastrous fire and was rebuilt and enlarged to a futuristic design based on the Triangular Lodge at Rushton. It reopened in April 1967.
