Denbigh, Castle c.1955

More about this scene
Denbigh saw action during the Wars of The Roses and changed hands on several occasions. In 1468 it finally fell to a Lancastrian force led by Jasper Tewdwr, Earl of Pembroke. Both town and castle were put to the torch; the damage to the former was such that when reconstruction started much of the town was built outside the old walls.
