Denbigh, High Street c.1955

More about this scene
The contrasting styles of urban architecture seen in modern Denbigh speak of its history and its regenerative powers; here, medieval and Jacobean frontages are replaced with Georgian and Victorian modernisations. The building at the end of the High Street is the old Town Hall, which dates from 1572; it was remodelled in 1780 and is now used as a library and museum. The parking arrangements would appear interesting today.
