More about this scene
On the road to Market Harborough, Desborough is a small town with various ironstone cottages and inns. Long ago there was a Saxon settlement here; three huge stones were discovered in the rectory garden, the largest covered on two sides with Saxon lettering. A Saxon mirror and necklace found here were given to the British Museum.
