At the junction with Station Road, Frith's photographer stands by the war memorial with the churchyard behind him. The tall building behind Underwood's shop (now The Corner Shop) is the old Harcourt shoe factory - recently converted into flats and a sound studio. The Earls Barton Museum is hidden by the trees on the right. The museum is housed in what was once Barker's shoe factory.

The Best Years Of My Life
Happy memories indeed. For an eight year old living in the village in the mid 1950s it was heaven. Long summer evenings and school holidays playing in woods, open fields and on building sites. Miss Wills Teacher At Earls Barton Primary School Poss 1965
Attending Primary School in Earls Barton I remember a teacher called Miss Wills very well. She drew shy pupils out of their shells and plonked them on the stage. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
