Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

More about this scene

The castle was briefly owned by Richard, Duke of Gloucester, who later presented it to the Duke of Norfolk. By one of those twists of fate the Duke, along with Richard, was killed at Bosworth in August 1485. The following year Sir Walter Hungerford regained the castle for his family, the twist being that Sir Walter had been knighted on the field of Bosworth.

I visited the old post office with my mother in the early to mid 1960's. I believe that my mother was related to the lady who ran the post office and the little shop, perhaps a cousin. I don't remember the name of the family, however, I believe that the daughter's name may have been Susan. They may have had another child, but I am not sure.
