Mum and I moved into Westbourne Rd in 1943 and I went to Feltham Hill School until I was 9 in 1946. I have picture of the Sports Day there in 1946 showing many children and parents. My uncle was also a train driver out of Feltham in the 50’s and 60’s even drove the old steam trains. I caught many a 152 bus from Feltham Station. Attended Cardinal Road School from 1955-1961 then Lafone from 1961-1966. Worked in the Clarks Shoe shop in Hounslow and DER, Twickenham Green from 1966-1968, then moved to Cornwall. I grew up and lived in Durham Road, Feltham. From 1952 to 1971. Went to Cardinal Road infants school from 1957 - 1959. 1959 - 1963 Hanworth Road Junior School, 1963 -1967 Lafone Secondary School for Girls. Boundary Road, Hanworth. My dad was a train driver and we used Feltham Train Station all the time. The entrance then was on the top of the bridge. My Church was St Catherine’s with the beautiful ...see more
I used to go to one of the schools in Feltham. My surname was POPPE. I do remember my mum used to have a friend name. Mrs King she had a daughter Patsy King. My mum was Polish and there was FIVE children in total. Please can anyone help me to learn about my past. Liz
