This picture depicts an old watermill in a picturesque setting just outside the village. Over to the right is a horse- drawn mowing machine. When this photograph was taken, Fittleworth had its own railway station nearby, and something like one thousand gallons of milk a day, produced at local farms, were loaded onto trains here.
