All 300,000 photographs in The Frith Collection have been scanned, but as the photos were taken over a 110 year period on a wide range of glass & film negatives, using different photographic processes, every image has to be checked and optimised, before we make a print for a customer.

I was born in 1946 at 93 Greyhound Road. Right at the end of the road was a greengrocer. On Saturday, mum sent me with a bag and 3d at the end of the day for 3 pennyworth of specs. You got anything that wouldn't keep. Happy days.
I was born John Mason in Parfrey St in 1936, moving to 81 Garvan Rd, living on the ground floor, with my Grandad, (Pop), upstairs! Went to Everington St School all through the War. During the daylight raids the whole school came down to the big hall, drawing and Knitting?? I was born in 1947 in Hurlingham Road on the corner of Dolby Road. As kids we used to play in Dolby Road as there was only one car owner so not much traffic. Sometimes the car wouldn't start with the 'car handle' so we all used to push it. Every Sunday my Dad used to take me and my Brother to see my Gran who lived the other side of the iron bridge (the pedestrian bridge adjacent the District line railway ...see more
