More about this scene
This view has stood the test of time, and the visitor today would see little apparent change. St Mary's Church dominates the photograph from its well-treed setting, with to its right the sheer elevation of The Foss and Grove Hill by Habershon, and to its left the Speech Room tower and chapel fleché.
