More about this scene
Apart from the demolition of the late 18th-century house, in the centre, little has changed visually. The original panelled school room is housed in the ground floor of the left-hand wing, while behind the prominent high bay window is a modern school museum. Extensive work was recently carried out to repair and restore the badly decayed bell turret which crowns Old Schools.
