Haverfordwest, Salutation Square 1906

More about this scene
This is a charming turn-of-the-century tableau of Salutation Square, which is the main route into the town. Note the hotel carriage by the entrance, the various horse-drawn conveyances and also the people on the hotel balcony. The building with the colonnaded frontage was the Masonic Hall. The girl crossing the square would not be able to dawdle in the way she is doing today—this is now a very busy thoroughfare. The fountain in the middle of the square has now been removed.
