An Apple A Day

A Memory of Mawgan Porth.

Mr and Mrs Smith lived in the first small house on the left as you go up the hill. When I was about 4 years of age I used to toddle over from Kenwyn which was on the other side of the road to visit them.
There was an unusual small round window in the lounge room.
They would often give me an apple saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away".

this must have been just before Molly Quintalls shop added to end of garage, my sisters friend Ingrid lived on the left going up the hill towards St Eval, the coast guard cottages just to the left, remember Liz Carthew living there, I have posted pictures of my sister and I about 1952/3 to the left on the beach (eating ice creams) with the Merrymoor in the back ground, Fantastic memories.
