More about this scene

A stone keep was added in 1170, followed by curtain walls and improved living accommodation. The castle passed into the hands of the Neville family, and in 1471 Richard, Duke of Gloucester, came here to be tutored by the Earl of Warwick. Richard later married the Earl's daughter, Anne, and their only son, Edward, was born here in 1473. Richard was killed at Bosworth in 1485.

They also had a few hens and cows. Her father's name was Bob Doother. The living quarters were above the shop. I have been back to Middleham recently but cannot find the building. If anyone reads this and can give me any ...see more
