More about this scene
Lying in the north west of the county, Mildenhall boasts one of the most magnificent churches in the region. Its market is held on Fridays, with the stalls set up between the Victorian pump and the 15th-century market cross. Whitworth's the grocer's is on the left-hand corner. The Tiger's Head, in the centre, also had a taxi service run by Sid Bonnett. The gabled house was built in 1912, but it lost its circular window when the shop front was extended in the 1960s.
