Caption for North Walsham, Bactonwood Mill, Spa Common C1955: This was the former water mill. Smartened up, with its brickwork painted, the mill is now a house. It was powered by the head waters of the River Ant, canalised in 1826 as the North Walsham and Dilham Canal.
