More about this scene

The magnificent 15th- century church is dedicated to St Peter and St Paul. It was funded by local merchants grown wealthy in the wool trade, and some of their stories are told in the notable collection of brasses found inside. Along with other Cotswold wool churches in Burford, Cirencester, Fairford and Winchcombe, St Peter and St Paul's is one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the Perpendicular style to be seen in the country.
