Considerable changes to the street frontage have occurred since 1906. The house on the right now has a bay window, and to its left a former carriage entrance has been filled in to become Mrs Holt's antique shop. Mr Chapples's garage has replaced Mr Purkess's baker's and grocer's shop, which in 1952 was demolished to create a garage forecourt.

I owned 'Hillside Cottage' an an area known as Hillside just outside the town.
My parents lived in 'The Coachman's Cottage', which can be seen on the brow of the hill in King's Street, 1950-60. 'Lovelace' is almost opposite.
My Great, Great grandparents, John and Jane Crocker lived here in 1915 before they both died.
My grandfather, and his family came from Odiham. They lived at Bury Cottage until at least 1908. I am connected to the Peskett, Clark, Champion, Pink, Lee and Windiate families of Odiham.
