Orford, Church Street c.1960

More about this scene
We are looking east from the Market Square; the battlements of the church can be seen to the left of Church House (extreme left). The early 19th-century post office building with its dummy upper window (right) closed in 1998, and the post office was relocated in Orford Supply Stores opposite. On the corner of Quay Road is Corner House of c1800 with black advertising panels (centre), now gone, alas.
