More about this scene
The present Church of Edward the Confessor was built in 1850 on the site of earlier churches dating back to the 15th century. Church House, on the right, also dates back to the 1400s; it has been a private residence, a priest's house and an inn. Behind is the Wykeham Hall built in 1909.
