A Memory of Southend-on-Sea.

This used to be Peter Pan's Playground. I remember coming to Southend when it was completely under water from the floods.

Took my 2-daughters to the racing cars c.1980's, had a sly chat with one of the attendants who pointed out which car was the fastest, booked this car and managed to beat my daughters.Remember the entire facility of 'Peter Pans Playground' was paved in empty cockle shells, can still remember the sound of crunching shells as I walked around.
