Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

From the bridge it was once possible to see a windmill built on a high bluff of rock above the river. A new housing estate has arisen there, and a school called The Windmill School has been built. Wood Green Farm still cultivates acres of pasture on the north bank of the Severn as far as Burlish Top, but changes came about after World War II. The Lucy Baldwin hospital was built in the 1920s, and farmer Peter Pratt recalls that when the river was in flood he had to get the night shift nurses over to the Manor House Annexe - this never flooded, even when the river rose 11 feet above its normal level. If he happened to be on leave in wartime, Peter took the nurses across by rowing boat or by shire horse and cart, together with a churn of fresh milk! An extension to the maternity unit was possible when Mr Rowland Worth vacated the Manor House.
