Thaxted, The Guildhall 1951
Photo ref:

More about this scene
Thaxted suffered a disastrous fire in 1881: over a hundred people were rendered homeless. The Guildhall`s roof caught alight, and several houses in Fishmarket Street (left) were destroyed and never rebuilt. Fishmarket Street was Thaxted`s medieval market place. The second cottage on the left is now the library.
