More about this scene
There is hardly anywhere in England that Charles Dickens did not visit and then use in a story. It was in Tong that he buried Little Nell in his book 'The Old Curiosity Shop', and so immediately gave rise to a thriving local tourist industry for visitors to see her grave. The grave is still there!
