Aberystwyth, The Promenade 1960

More about this scene
A large pleasure boat beaches to unload its passengers, and a bandstand could still attract an audience in this university town cum resort in West Wales. In the background we can see the funicular railway for those not wanting to make the 485-foot walk up Constitution Hill. Former students of the college have a tradition of walking the promenade and 'kicking the bar' - the railings at the far end.
