Hi Betty I was in that hospital in 1961 ish aged 11, I stayed for 13 weeks during which time I had surgery on my feet, I believe the same operation these days you would only stay in for a week. The ward was tidy with crisp white sheets and I cannot remember any toys, there were a number of children on the ward with disabilities who it seemed lived there. If the weather was warm our beds would be pushed out onto the verandah enabling us to have ' fresh air '. ....Regards Christine
Good to hear from someone who was there near to the time I was. Can you remember which ward and who the sister was.
