Amberley, The Village From The Church c.1950

More about this scene
Standing on a plateau overlooking the Arun Valley, Amberley is often described as 'the pearl of Sussex' and 'the loveliest village in Sussex'. The labels are certainly apt, and the village boasts a delightful mix of architectural styles. The setting is very pretty too, with the Downs rising on one side and the Amberley Wild Brooks, a haven for wildlife, on the other.
