The Church 1899. The church of St Margaret lies at Angmering, not to be confused with neighbouring Angmering-on-Sea. The church is thought to have been restored by the local squire with the proceeds of a win on the Derby.

My family had wonderful holidays at my aunts house called 'silba' in Golden Acre near the beach. My two brothers, sister and Mum and Dad spent such happy holidays here. I first went to Angmering after the war. My grandparents lived there and we used to spend time there in the summer. In those days there were no such things as beach furniture or pic-nic equipment.
