The church of St Margaret was rebuilt in 1852 and has a tower dating from 1507, which is just visible through the trees. The Pigeon House is a medieval yeoman's house. A Roman villa and bath building, about one mile east of the church, were first excavated in 1819 and again more recently. Harrow Hill is an archaeological site with traces of an Iron Age hill-fort, a group of Neolithic flint mines and a Bronze Age farm enclosure. The scene today is little changed.
