More about this scene

Tradition alleges that Athelhampton is the site of a palace of the Saxon King Athelstan, though the present house is largely Tudor. Athelhampton Hall was the location for the film 'Sleuth', which starred Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine. The Hall, which fortunately survived a bad fire in its East Wing in 1992, is open to the public.
